Problem
Ethereal Elixirs launched without a defined visual identity or digital presence—making it difficult to communicate its values, build customer trust, or scale effectively. Without foundational brand guidelines or UI standards, early marketing and development efforts lacked cohesion. Solution
I led the brand’s creative foundation—from initial discovery through to a scalable design system and developer-ready guidelines. Grounded in market research, we studied skincare and wellness trends to position Ethereal Elixirs with a clean, elevated, and adaptable visual language. The system now includes 100+ components spanning layout templates, modular content blocks, and mobile-friendly UI patterns. Alongside this, we developed a brand guideline detailing color usage, typography, spacing, and design tokens to support consistent implementation. Together, these tools established a visual framework that’s easy to scale and built to evolve as the brand grows into new categories.

01 — Building a Design System
Ethereal Elixirs is a body care brand dedicated to intentional, multifunctional self-care solutions. In my role as the sole product designer, I designed and structured the digital experience from the ground up.
The objective was to create an immersive, brand-aligned e-commerce platform that embodied intentionality and minimalism. From initial wireframes to high-fidelity layouts, I developed an atomic design system capable of scaling with the brand’s growth, while supporting its evolving narrative, enabling an intuitive checkout process, and providing a seamless system for addressing client inquiries.

This holistic approach allowed the site to serve not only as a storefront, but also as a visual extension of the brand—elevating the product experience while supporting pre-order-only releases, limited-edition drops, and long-term catalog expansion.

02 — Bringing it to Life
With the design direction locked in, the next phase of the project has shifted toward implementation. I am currently collaborating with developers to accurately translate the design system into a functional Shopify experience, with the goal of ensuring that each component, layout, and interaction feels as bold and direct as it did in the original design.

Working closely with developers presents its own set of challenges—translating design intent into code while balancing platform constraints and evolving requirements. Through ongoing rounds of all-hands meetings and last-minute design tweaks, we have been able to refine the experience and ensure that the final build remains true to Ethereal’s vision. Development is now well underway.

The wordmark features a bold yet refined typeface that conveys clarity and transparency while maintaining Ethereal’s intended aesthetic of authenticity and modernity. This foundation established a cohesive tone for the brand that balances sophistication with simplicity, mirroring the intentional nature of Ethereal Elixirs.
